I. Climate is

IV. Polar Areas - Tundra and Ice Cap:
A. There is little precipitation in this region and it usually only snows, not rains.
B. There is no season of summer because land areas receive little heat due to the sun's rays being so slanted.
C. Tundra average monthly temperatures range from 0 to 10 degrees C in warmer months and below 0 in colder months.
V. A savanna is:
A. A rolling grassland, dotted with trees,
B. Can be found between a tropical rainforest and desert.
C. Not enough rain falls on a savanna to support a rainforest or for it to be called a prairie.
VI. The Temperate Climate is:
A. Has four seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall.
B. Animals and plants have special adaptations to cope with these yearly changes.
