Hello,

    I want to start of by saying thank you to you and your class for

the box that I received the other day. Enclosed where letters and items for

myself and fellow Marines. I really appreciate everyone that wrote to us and

hope that we will find the time to do the same. The only thing is that I’m not

sure if we do write whether or not you will received it in time before school

lets out, due to the fact that the mail around here takes a really long time.

So I have an option .......what if I were to email you and maybe you can print

them out and give it to your students?? One of your students gave me her email

address, so I wrote her, but she never responded. I noticed that you also sent

cameras, well to be honest , now that the war is over a lot of the grunts and

recon Marines are packing up and going home, which means that all there cool toys

to take pics of will be gone within a couple of days. This camp is slowly becoming

a ghost town, but if you want I will send you pics that I already have and

you can show your class them. I also have pics from Marines who went forward,

I basically stayed behind and worked on communications, that is my job. Well

let me know what you would like me to do, its the least I can do. We might be leaving

shortly but you can email me at this account.

Hello Jenn, it’s me again. Well what can I say, it seems as though we

will be getting out of here as early as June 1st. I think I get to go home in

mid June, they are splitting us up into groups to go home. They don’t want to

send the whole battalion home at once, which is smart, I guess. Our Battalion is

out of Brooklyn and I work in the one in Amityville, Long Island. I know that I

expressed my gratitude already, but it really is nice to know that people at

home really support us! Attached are some pics you might like, chat with you soon,

tell the class that the Marines all send there hellos and thanks
